"The 1% Rule: How Small Daily Wins Can Radically Change Your Life"

Image
🧠 Ever feel like self-improvement is overwhelming? You read all the books, watch motivational videos, and make huge to-do lists… only to burn out and feel stuck again. I used to think "go big or go home" was the key. But here's the truth I learned the hard way: Small changes — done daily — create massive results. Let me tell you a story. 📘 My Wake-Up Moment Two years ago, I decided I’d finally “get serious” about my life. I created a huge morning routine: 5 a.m. wake-up, meditation, reading, journaling, exercise — the full package. Guess what? I quit after 5 days. Why? Because I tried to change everything at once. ✅ The 1% Rule (What Actually Worked) One day I came across the idea of improving just 1% a day . It sounded tiny — even pointless. But I gave it a try. Day 1: Wrote one sentence in a journal. Day 2: Drank an extra glass of water. Day 3: Went for a 5-minute walk. After 30 days, I had: A daily writing habit Improved sleep ...

Air India Ahmedabad-London flight crashes near airport shortly after takeoff; 265 dead

NEW DELHI: An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon, killing 265 people.  The aircraft, bound for London, plunged into the Meghani area of the city, sending up a massive plume of black smoke and triggering an immediate emergency response. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), there were 242 people on board the aircraft — 230 passengers, 2 pilots, and 10 cabin crew members. The aircraft was under the command of Capt Sumeet Sabharwal, with first officer Clive Kundar. The flight was heavily fueled for the long-haul journey, adding to the intensity of the explosion and fire that followed the crash.  Many are feared dead after the plane crashed into the residential quarters of doctors from BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar area and burst into flames. Quoting witnesses, news agency PTI reported that the plane had lost altitude so...

Global oil prices soar after Israel attacks Iran

Image
Global oil prices jumped after Israel said it had struck Iran, in a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East. Benchmark oil contracts Brent Crude and Nymex light sweet were up by more than 10% after the news emerged. Traders are concerned that a conflict between Iran and Israel could disrupt supplies coming from the energy-rich region. The cost of crude oil affects everything from the price of food at the supermarket to how much it costs to fill up your car. Analysts have told the BBC that energy traders will now be watching to see whether Iran retaliates in the coming days. "It's an explosive situation, albeit one that could be defused quickly as we saw in April and October last year, when Israel and Iran struck each other directly," Vandana Hari of Vandana Insights told the BBC. "It could also spiral out into a bigger war that disrupts Mideast oil supply," she added. In an extreme scenario, Iran could disrupt supplies of millions of barrels of oil ...

Explosions heard in Tehran as Israel says it targets Iran military and nuclear sites

Image
Israel attacked Iran's capital early Friday in strikes targeting the country's nuclear program, raising the potential for all-out war between the two bitter adversaries. It appeared to be the most significant attack Iran has faced since its 1980s war with Iraq, with multiple sites around the country hit. The leader of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard was feared dead, Iranian state television reported, a development that would be a major blow to Tehran's governing theocracy and an immediate escalation of the nations' long-simmering conflict. The report offered few details about what happened to Gen. Hossein Salami but said that another top Guard official, as well as two nuclear scientists, were also feared dead. Israeli leaders said the attack was necessary to head off what they described as an imminent threat that Iran would build nuclear bombs, and they warned of a reprisal that could target civilians in Israel. It remains unclear how close Iran actually i...
